Shannon has made a career out of working with struggling students. After teaching in the Poway Unified School District for five years, Shannon spent two years teaching at La Jolla Elementary School, working exclusively with challenged students in small groups.
She also runs a private tutoring service, www.lajollateacher.com, and enjoys working closely with her students to help them grow and find success.
Shannon’s love of teaching also extends to the swimming pool. A former competitive swimmer, Shannon taught group and private swim lessons for five years. She also coached club and high school swim team for four years.
Shannon is a new mom to beautiful daughter, Cate, and is currently enjoying spending time away from the classroom and working as a full-time mom. She lives with her husband, daughter, and two cats in Pacific Beach, California.
